GUNTRACK launched the mobile app on Android and iOS two years ago as a cloud-based app where all information was stored in a secured cloud database. Shortly after, we also launched the desktop/ laptop Web Edition.

Where is my personal data stored?
ALL of your inventory data is stored on your device. The application creates an encrypted database that resides on your hard drive on your computer. When you create a password when you first open the application, it creates the only password that will decrypt your data. If you lose the password, you will lose your data as we do not save a copy of your password.
How do I cancel my account?
While we want you to stay with us, we understand things come up. We made it super simple to manage your account where you can cancel, upgrade, downgrade, or view your payment history. You can also manage your payment method. Please log on to our customer subscription portal here.
How secure is my data?
All your inventory data stays on your computer and is encrypted using AES-256 Encryption. Learn more about AES-256. It’s over 1000x more secure than an unprotected spreadsheet or doc that is not encrypted. If your computer is compromised, stolen, or hacked, your GUNTRACK data is encrypted on your device and will not be useful without your password.
Do you collect user information?
GUNTRACK does not use tracking, location, or other analytic code in the software application. Privacy is a top priority. GUNTRACK only requires a user’s email address to manage their subscription and to send our users updates and yearly subscription receipts. No other personal information is collected. We will not share our users’ emails, so don’t ask!
Why do I have to pay yearly?
In order to always stay ahead of the curve in security and also to add additional features and enhancements, we have to charge a yearly fee. All updates are included, and you will automatically be prompted when you need to update.
Why do you ask for a credit card to trial?
We wanted to make the GUNTRACK Software Edition as secure as possible, we can only issue a valid license by using an email address, and your subscription purchase acts as authorization without us having to collect a password. You WILL NOT be charged until after the 10-day free trial. You can cancel anytime before or anytime after. You will not be charged anything if you cancel before the ten days. If you cancel after the ten days, you will only be charged for the days you used the software.
Who is Stripe Payment Processor?
Stripe is one of the largest payment processors that handle the subscription and payment for the GUNTRACK Software Edition. We do not collect any location, address, credit card number, or card information. When you subscribe, your payment information is entered directly into Stripe’s secure payment system, and we do not keep any information on file. We did this to allow for the most secure way to pay for our yearly subscription. Stripe is a PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.

Can I Manually Back up my Data?
Yes, it takes a few minutes to manually backup your data. Please follow these simple steps to backup your inventory data.
Do I need a connection to the internet?
You will need to be connected to the internet to purchase, download, and log into your application, as it will check to ensure you have an active subscription. Once you sign in, the application does not need to be connected since all your inventory records are being saved locally and will fully function without a connection to the internet. So, let’s say you’re working on recording maintenance in your barn and have no connection out there, first launch the app while you are connected, and after it opens, simply leave the application open, and then you can disconnect from the internet. As long as the application remains open on your computer or laptop; you do not need to be connected to the internet for the application to work like normal. Once you’ve completed your entries and close down the application, you will need an internet connection when you log in again, as it checks to ensure you have an active subscription.
